    Nate Evans

    Nate Evans

Nate Evans is a 2001 graduate of the University of Michigan.  For three years after college he pursued a career raising money for nonprofit organizations, after which he enrolled in the University of Tennessee College of Law.

While studying law at the University of Tennessee, Nate discovered his passion--trial advocacy.  As a law student, Nate re-initiated a dormant mock trial team, participated in local and regional mock trial competitions, and served on the Moot Court Board.  In recognition of his efforts, Nate was named to The National Order of the Barristers following nomination from the faculty of the College of Law.

His enthusiasm for trial advocacy was transferred into the courtroom as a practicing attorney.  Nate served as an Assistant Public Defender in Knox County, Tennessee until 2011, when he joined the Oberman & Rice Law Firm. Through jury trials and a successful motion practice, Nate developed an understanding and rapport of all levels of the Tennessee court system.

During his four years at the Public Defender’s office, Nate successfully represented clients charged with a vast array of felony and misdemeanor offenses, including Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Implied Consent Violation, Boating Under the Influence (BUI), Underage Consumption of Alcohol, Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, Aggravated Assault, and Simple Drug Possession and Possession of Drug for Distribution and Resale.

He is proud to share the firm’s focus on providing exceptional service to its clients through legal, legislative, and scientific research.  Nate looks forward continuing his successful legal career with Steve and Sara.
